Our History

CoderSpace began in 2015 as an initiative designed to teach computer science to high school students on the South Side of Chicago. Through a truly iterative process filled with a variety of experimentation and subsequent validation, CoderSpace has blossomed into an organization that has launched clubs in schools, provided employment to alumni, and even gone to space- but this is only the beginning. CoderSpace aims to further understand the nature of the problems that we are solving by calling upon our community of learners to seek innovative and integrative solutions.
